Before we dive in, let me preface this whole thing by saying this monthly mini-zine (or newsletter, or roundup, or….I’m actually not really sure what to call it) isn’t going anywhere, so don’t sweat! Or do, if you’re into that.
Now…on the good stuff!
Technically, I launched a few weeks ago and if you happened to stumble into my Komi link you may have already seen it. Whether the news is new to you or not, I’m still very excited to be back on the platform. Before I ramble too much about the why, let me explain why you may want to become a Patron!
There’s one tier, and one tier only (and you can give it a 7-day trial if you’d like).
It’s the official home of the Anti-Social Puppers Club and it’s the same price as CANIDAZE+ here on Substack was, $5 per month! That will get you all the music, photos, rambling blog posts, and maybe even videos (the return of the vlogs???) that I wanted to bring here but it just felt strange to have to put in this sort of written format.
The first new piece of music will be up later today, and there’s more on the way. I won’t get into the full details here, but it’s a cover that marks a bit of a genre shift for me. Keep an eye on my IG Story today to get a sneak peek.
Thinking of music here’s a big bonus, Patrons will hear them first! After Patrons, songs will be up on Bandcamp second, and then finally make their way to streaming a few weeks later.
Ultimately, it’ll be fun and probably chaotic section of the internet for me to really put everything in. A true home of sorts, where where I can really dive deep into what’s going on in my world and what I’ve got planned, or what I’m thinking, and we chat and you give your feedback on ideas or songs or whatever else because it’s ours. I’m excited to say the least.

So, about the “why,” portion I had mentioned earlier.
I love being here on Substack, there’s something about it that really clicks well with my brain, and that’s why I keeping it going. But it doesn’t feel like the right place to make my catch-all, dragon’s hoard of a home. I feel the need to make things “pretty” here. And while I could utilize the Note features more and probably make do, I just don’t want to make do anymore. I really want something that feels like mine and is consistent.
I’ve spent many years trying to find a place for that and I’ve been on Patreon before and left. Then I tried Bandcamp subscriptions and left. Then I tried doing it on my own with my own website…….and left. All because I wanted to find the perfect place for literally EVERYTHING. But that place doesn’t really exist. Big shocker, I know! I’m at a point now I’ve reached a point where I’d rather use multiple places that do one or two things REALLY WELL over one place that does it all in a half-assed way. And Patreon does community and sharing all things creative really well.
So, yeah. That’s why I’m back on Patreon.
By the way not to like upsell even more here…but I’ll be making a blog post on Patreon about this search for the perfect thing later because it’s a theme in my life and I have WAY more to say about it.
